Drug treatment and rehabilitation services

We recognize that substance abuse is a widespread affliction; the personal, social and economic costs are borne by the individual and the community as a whole. Drug dependency leads to productivity loss, domestic violence, depletion of family resources, increased street crime, etc. To address this menace, we have been working with the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment since 1985.

Currently we have two projects in this field:

·        Rehabilitation centres for substance abusers

·        Drop-in centre (Kotla mubarakpur)

De-addiction cum Rehabilitation Centres for Substance Abusers

Objective

·        To provide a well-formulated de-addiction and rehabilitation program covering motivational counseling, detoxification, sustained rehabilitation, relapse prevention and after-care.

SPYM has detoxification centres in Delhi, Jammu, Guwahati and Darjeeling, and these centres have been offering de-addiction cum rehabilitation for more than a decade. As mentioned, we have been working in tandem with the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment.
